Our Story
Who we are
We exist to bring all walks of life into one family of grace. No matter where you come from or what your status is, we believe that the gospel of Jesus Christ forms us into a family of grace; bringing us together in a way that nothing else can. And because we have been shown such kindness, we want to welcome others into this family as well.
Where we come from
After surveying the area in 1956, Woodfields was established on December 8, 1958, where it began in the building at Five Points, right up the road from where we are today. The community was growing and the church was planted to reach the surrounding area with the gospel. In 1967, Woodfields moved into the building where we currently are, and God has used it and will continue to use this church for His glory.
Where we’re going
After much success followed by years of gradual decline, the church voted in 2021 to undergo a process of revitalization. Three key areas were identified: (1) A new vision to reach the community (2) a renewed commitment to church membership and a new church covenant, and (3) an overhaul of the bylaws guided by a biblical understanding of the church’s mission and function.
